Biggest single-day spike in Covid cases takes Rajasthan tally past 12,400

333 new cases, 10 deaths reported in past 24 hours

With biggest single-day spike of 333, Rajasthan’s Covid tally has risen to 12,401, while 10 patients died on Saturday.

Four patients died due to coronavirus in Bharatpur and Jaipur each, and two others who migrated from other states, a medical bulletin said. The death toll has jumped to 282.

Of today’s tally, seventy five tested positive in Jodhpur, 62 in Pali, followed by Bhatapur 39, Jaipur 27, Sikar 16, Dholpur 14, Sirohi 13, Jhunjhunu 12, Nagaur 11, Ajmer 11, Jalore 8, Churu 7, Dausa 7, Barmer 5, Kota 3, Dungarpur 3, Alwar 3, Karauli 3, Udaipur 3, Jaisalmer 2,  Tonk 2, Jhalawar 2, Bhilwara 1, Ganganagar 1, Sawaimadhopur 1, and other state 2.

Out of 12,401 patients, 9,337 have been recovered, and 8,945 have been discharged. There are 2,782 active patients who are getting treatment in the government run hospital. Infected migrants figure has reached to 3,540.

The breakup of the death toll is as follows: Jaipur 127, Jodhpur 27, Kota 18, Bharapur 15,  Ajmer 12,  Nagaur 9, Pali 7, Sikar 5, Sawaimadhopur 5, Bikaner 5, Chittorgarh 5,  Baran 4,  Sirohi 4, Bhilwara 3,  Karauli 3, Alwar 2, Jalore 2, Dausa 2,  Banswara 2, Dholpur 1, Churu 1, Rajsamand 1, Udaipur 1, Pratapgarh 1, Jhunjhunu 1, and Tonk 1 and 18 death of patients hailing from neighbouring states also included in the toll.
