In a spurt in COVID-19 casualties in Rajasthan, five patients died and 174 tested positive in a single day on Monday, which was highest since March 3.
Two patients each died from COVID-19 in Jaipur and Pali districts and one in Ajmer, a state medical bulletin said here.
With 174 new positive cases, the tally of inflicted patients has touched to 3,988.
The hotspot Udaipur continued to see maximum positive cases as it reported 49 patients today, followed by Jaipur 28, Jodhpur 13, Ajmer 12, Alwar 11, Kota and Nagaur 9 each, Sirohi 7, Pali and Chittorgarh 5 each, Rajsamand 4, Barmer, Bharatpur 3 each, Dausa, Karauli, Tonk 2 each, Churu, and Dungarpur one each.
Jaipur has recorded the maximum casualties of 61 followed by Jodhpur 17, Kota 10, Ajmer 5, two each in Bharatpur, Bhilwara, Sikar, Chittorgarh, Nagaur, Pali and one each in Bikaner, Churu, Alwar, Karauli, Banswara, Pratapgarh, Sawaimadhopur and Tonk.
All together 2,324 patients have recovered of which 2,059 have been discharged.
