Chandigarh: The city reported three deaths and 70 new cases of Covid-19 on Friday. The active cases now stand at 564 and the toll at 786. As many as 84 patients recovered from the disease in the past 24 hours. — TNS

5 fall prey to virus in Mohali, 70 cases

Mohali: Five more Covid fatalities were witnessed in the district during the past 24 hours, taking the toll to 1,015. The district also saw 70 fresh cases, while 198 patients were cured of the disease. Among the fresh cases, 23 were reported from Mohali (urban), one each from Gharuan and Kurali, two from Lalru, four from Boothgarh, nine from Dera Bassi, 13 from Dhakoli and 17 from Kharar. Of the 67,686 cases reported so far, 65,658 patients have been cured. — TNS

No death, 29 cases in Panchkula

Panchkula: The district on Friday reported 29 fresh coronavirus cases, taking the overall tally to 30,442. With no new death, the toll stands at 362. While 29,833 people have recovered from the infectious disease so far, 247 cases are still active. The recovery rate is 97.99 per cent. — TNS
