Mohali, May 27

Four Covid fatalities were reported from the district during the past 24 hours. Till Wednesday, the death toll in the district stood at 889, but the count shared on Thursday accounted for 17 more deaths. These deaths had occurred between May 6 and May 23, but the details were shared by hospitals in the district on Thursday, said a spokesman for the Health Department.

Meanwhile, 278 fresh cases were reported from the district, while 659 patients were cured of the disease. Of the 65,761 cases reported so far, 60,526 patients have been cured. There are now 4,325 active cases in the district. The toll has reached 910. — TNS

Seven deaths in Chandigarh, 200 new cases

Chandigarh: The city reported seven deaths and 200 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Thursday. The active cases now stand at 3,129 and the toll 729. As many as 637 patients recovered from the disease in the past 24 hours. TNS
