As both teams lined up for their national anthems, the public address system played out India's national anthem for a couple of seconds, before the blunder was realised.

England captain Jos Buttler had an amused look on his face as “Jana Gana Mana” played out instead of “God save the Queen”. With England’s flag fluttering with a gentle breeze inside the stadium, the sparse crowd present there went berserk with catcalls.
