One arrested with heroin in Kharkhoda

The Rohtak team of the Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau (HSNCB) on Friday arrested a person for allegedly smuggling drug from Kharkhoda in Sonepat and recovered 16.15 gram heroin from his possession.

The accused has been identified as Devender, alias Goli, of Master Colony in Kharkhoda. The action was initiated under the supervision of SP Surender Singh Bhoriya and DSP Jagjeet Singh. A team led by ASI Deepak got a tipoff that drug peddling was being done at the Master Colony in Kharkhoda.

Following the tipoff, the NCB team raided and nabbed the suspect. During the search, the team recovered heroin from his possession and a case was registered under various sections of the NDPS Act against him at the Kharkhoda police station. A probe is underway. — TNS
