Daily soaps are hectic, says actress Esha Kansara
Tell us something about this new show…
Zindagi Mere Ghar Aana is a story about people, their emotions and the interpersonal relationships in a family. It’s a show full of positivity and love.
What were the new things that you discovered about yourself as an artiste while working in this show?
I never knew that I would have so many emotions inside me regarding love, being pregnant and being mature. I have always been a happy-go-lucky person, but Amrita is all about maturity and calmness.
Did you take inspiration from anyone for the role?
No. I generally don’t take any inspiration for any of my roles. Every character is different and I believe that taking inspiration somewhere leads to copying.
What makes this show different from others?
It captures some hard-hitting realities that we face being in a joint family and the dialogues make you feel as if you always wanted to say them in your real life, but restrained from doing so.
Did you face any challenges while essaying this role?
Yes, as seen in the promo, I am pregnant. So being pregnant on screen gives you a lot of opportunities to explore the motherly side of your nature.
Did you always want to be an actress?
While doing theatre in school, I realised that I want to act in television shows. My mom used to watch a lot of daily soaps. I wasn’t aware of other mediums for acting but to impress my mom, I went ahead and gave auditions for TV shows.
What else do you see yourself doing next?
I really want to try for web shows someday.
How are you keeping yourself fit these days?
Daily soaps are hectic, but there are no excuses. So, I wake up early, finish my morning routine and go for a half-an-hour run or do my online workout.
