During patrolling, the police saw a girl surrounded by people. She was not able to provide her address. The girl only revealed that her name was Munni and that she lived in Khadda Colony. The officers took her to the police station.

The police began searching for her family by circulating her photographs and details through police networks and local stations, said Raja Banthia, Deputy Commissioner of Police, North District. It was found that Khadda Colony falls under the jurisdiction of the Samaypur Badli police station, but no missing report was filed there, he said.
