Two persons suffered serious injuries after their scooter collided with a car on the Pusa Road in Karol Bagh early on Thursday morning.
A PCR call regarding the incident was received at the Karol Bagh police station early on Thursday. The police reached the spot and found a car overturned and a damaged scooter lying nearby.
The police identified the car driver as Angad, a resident of Lal Kothi on Roshnara Road.
Preliminary examination suggests that the two-wheeler riders were travelling on the wrong side. The speeding car, which was reportedly being driven in a rash and negligent manner, collided with the scooter and overturned.
One of the injured, an unidentified man aged around 27 — suspected to be a bike taxi driver — was shifted to RML Hospital by the car driver, who later fled the spot.
Another injured person, Gyander Pratap Singh Shekhawat (23), a resident of Mandir Marg, was shifted to Lady Hardinge Hospital by a PCR van. A case has been registered.
