The family claimed that their daughter could not have taken her own life. They allege she may have been blackmailed or pressured into taking such a step. A written complaint has been submitted to the police, demanding a thorough investigation.

According to police officials, the deceased has been identified as Nitika, a native of Sharmal village in Jammu. She had been residing in a PG accommodation in Sector 12 for the past three years while working in a private company. Two other women lived in the same PG with her.

One of Nitika’s roommates told the police that she had gone to work on Friday morning and returned in the evening to find the room locked. When she managed to open the door, she discovered Nitika hanging inside. She immediately informed the police.

Upon receiving the information, a police team reached the location and took the body into custody. The deceased’s family was informed and arrived in Gurugram on Saturday morning. The police handed over the body to the family after a post-mortem examination.
