24-year-old stabbed to death in revenge killing

A 24-year-old man was stabbed to death in a suspected “revenge killing” in South Delhi’s Sangam Vihar area, the police said on Monday.
The victim, identified as Lucky, was attacked by four persons, allegedly in retaliation for a murder he committed in 2015 when he was a juvenile.
According to the police, the incident was reported around 4.30 pm on Sunday. When a team arrived at the scene, they found Lucky lying in a pool of blood with multiple stab wounds.
“After gathering information and checking CCTV footage, four suspects were identified,” said a senior police officer.
They said two of the suspects are brothers of Shivam, the man whom Lucky allegedly killed in 2015. The officer added that the brothers are believed to have sought revenge for Shivam’s death.
One suspect, identified as Sunny, has been arrested.
Following the incident, Lucky’s family members gathered outside the Sangam Vihar police station, demanding the arrest of all accused.
Jitender Kumar Nagar, a relative, recounted the day’s events, he said, “Around 6.30 am, he told his mother he would return soon and went out. Around 6 pm, we got a call from the police asking us to come to the station, and that’s when we learnt about his murder.”
