3 DTU students triumph at Smart India Hackathon

Delhi Technological University (DTU) celebrated success at the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2025, with three of its student teams emerging victorious at the competition. The achievement highlights the university’s strong emphasis on innovation, entrepreneurship and technology-driven solutions to real-world challenges.

Team Garuda developed a smart energy orchestration platform that integrates solar, wind, battery storage and grid supply into a unified Virtual Power Plant. Using real-time data and forecasting, the solution aims to reduce operational costs, increase renewable energy use, and simplify energy management in campus environments. The team was led by Priyanshu Jha and included Nancy Singh, Nimish Aggarwal, Pratik Pankaj, Paarth Kaushik and Khushi Gupta.

Another DTU team, ToinCoss, presented “AntiProxy,” an intelligent attendance ecosystem designed to eliminate proxy attendance. The solution seeks to strengthen academic governance by ensuring transparency, accuracy, and accountability in educational institutions. The team was led by Aryan Sood, with members Aaarat Chadda, Aarushi Anand, Rudransh Singh Rathore, Shubhank Gupta and Vivaan Jain.

Team LogicX focused on social impact through technology by developing a digital solution to improve beneficiary identification, monitoring, and support under the Grant-in-Aid (GIA) component of PM-AJAY. The integrated, user-centric platform aims to strengthen welfare delivery for Scheduled Caste communities across income generation, skill development, and infrastructure initiatives. The team was led by Priyanshu Barik, alongside Nivedita Aggarwal, Naman Tulsyan, Priyanshu Banik, Abhay Madan and Vivek Gupta.

DTU said the success of its students at SIH 2025 reflects the university’s ethos of innovation, excellence, and socially impactful engineering, underscoring the transformative role of technology in addressing national and societal challenges.
