The police have arrested three men accused of robbing a car by taking its occupant hostage while he was asleep inside. The stolen vehicle was recovered from their possession.
The police said the incident occurred on Sunday, after a man filed a complaint stating he had gone to a club in Sector 29 with his friends on Saturday in a rented car. After some time, he returned to the car and fell asleep, while his friends remained inside the club.
“It was around 4:30 am on Sunday when I was sleeping in the car. Three boys came — one sat in the front seat and two in the back. They picked me up and threw me into the rear seat before driving off. Later, they pushed me out of the car near a wine shop on NH-48 and fled with the vehicle,” the complainant stated.
An FIR was registered at Sector 29 police station. The police team arrested the three accused on Sunday night in Gurugram. They were identified as Taufiq (18), a native of Jharkhand; Akash (18), a resident of Bhadas village in Nuh district; and Ayush (18), from Bharan village in Rohtak district. They were living in rented accommodation in Indira Colony, Gurugram.
