600 girl students trained in self-defence under Sashakti programme

As many as 600 girl students were trained under the ‘Sashakti Self-Defence Programme’ at KR Mangalam School, Vikaspuri, West Delhi. This initiative aims to enhance women’s safety and impart knowledge on self defencs techniques,

The instructors from Delhi Police trained the students in various self-defence techniques, situational awareness and quick response methods to handle adverse situations with courage and confidence.

The training aimed not only to make them physically capable of self-protection but also mentally strong to help others when needed, Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Darade Sharad Bhaskar said in a statement.

Participation certificates were distributed to the girls by Dr Garima Tiwari, ACP Tilak Nagar Sub-Division. While addressing the students, Tiwari emphasised the importance of discipline, patience and presence of mind in difficult situations.

These programmes aim not only to impart physical training but also to instil confidence and courage in young minds, reinforcing the message that the Delhi Police stands ready, round-the-clock, to ensure their safety and well-being.
