New Delhi, January 20
The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) administration said today that 82 per cent of the students had registered for the winter semester. The statement comes amid a boycott call for registration given by the students’ union of the university.
Out of 8,500 students, 82 per cent had cleared their hostel dues for the winter semester registration as on Monday, VC M Jagadesh Kumar said. “We expect that the remaining students will complete their registration since the process is still open with a late fee. The campus is peaceful and active in pursuing academic activities,” he said. — PTI
