The AAP on Monday expanded its Delhi unit by appointing seven vice-presidents, one for each Lok Sabha constituency in the national capital.

As per official communication from the party, Kuldeep Kumar has been appointed as the vice-president for the East Delhi Lok Sabha constituency, Jarnail Singh for West Delhi, Rajesh Gupta for North-West, Rituraj Jha for New Delhi, Brahm Singh Tanwar for South, Sanjiv Jha for North East and Jitender Singh Tomar for the Chandni Chowk General Assembly constituency.

In the latest appointments, the party has replaced former MLAs Dilip Pandey and Gulab Singh with Sanjiv Jha and Brahm Singh Tanwar, who switched to AAP from the BJP ahead of the 2025 Assembly polls, while other five have been retained.

Out of the seven newly appointed office-bearers, Jarnail Singh is party’s legislator from Tilak Nagar, Kuldeep Kumar from Kondli and Sanjiv Jha from Burari, while others are former MLAs.

Congratulating them, the party in a post on X said: “AAP is pleased to announce the appointment of the following leaders as Delhi state vice-presidents.”

Notably, the move is crucial as the party is carrying out organisation restructuring in the national capital after setback in the 2025 Delhi Assembly polls.

In March this year, AAP had appointed Saurabh Bhardwaj as the convener of the party’s Delhi Unit replacing Gopal Rai, who was later appointed as the convener for the party’s Gujarat unit.
