BJP’s South Delhi MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri on Saturday criticised AAP leaders for attempting to portray themselves as superior to the judiciary amid ongoing corruption charges.

Bidhuri accused the AAP leaders of falsely claiming innocence despite being released on conditional bail.

“Instead of accepting the serious nature of the charges against them, AAP leaders are misleading the public,” Bidhuri stated. “Some are even conducting padyatras and accepting garlands as if they have been vindicated, which is nothing short of shamelessness,” he added.

He pointed out that both former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and MP Sanjay Singh were granted bail with strict conditions. “Sisodia must appear before the ED and CBI twice a week, and his passport is confiscated. Similarly, Singh has restrictions on his movements,” Bidhuri explained. “Despite these conditions, they are behaving as if they have been acquitted,” he added.

The BJP MP emphasised that the trial is ongoing, with Sisodia being labelled the “kingpin” of the liquor scam and the money trail involving Singh being scrutinised.

He criticised Sisodia’s padyatra for its poor turnout, suggesting it failed to gain public support. “The public is questioning why the liquor policy was withdrawn if there was no scam,” Bidhuri said. — TNS
