Ahead of Aam Aadmi Party’s “Apka Vidhayak, Apke Dwar” campaign, which is set to begin on September 1, Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) chief Devender Yadav launched a scathing attack on the ruling party on Thursday, accusing it of rampant corruption and broken promises.

Addressing a press conference, Yadav said AAP’s governance was defined by “the three Cs of Corruption, Commission, and Cheating”.

“The party’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is in jail for corruption. It will have to provide answers to the people for its many unfulfilled promises,” Yadav said at the Rajiv Bhawan, the DPCC office. He said AAP had built a huge record in corruption over the past 11 years, despite initially promising a corruption-free government.

Yadav said several AAP leaders, including CM Kejriwal and Deputy Chief Minister Sisodia had served time in jail on corruption charges. “When AAP MLAs meet the people during this door-to-door campaign, they will have no answer for poor governance,” he said, calling the campaign a ploy to regain lost political ground. “People have lost their faith and trust in AAP,” he added.
