BJP candidate for the New Delhi Assembly seat, Parvesh Sahib Singh, launched a scathing attack on former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of dividing the city along caste lines. Speaking at a press conference, Parvesh Sahib Singh alleged that Kejriwal had neglected rural Delhi and the Jat community for years but was now attempting to win their support ahead of the elections.“As Arvind Kejriwal’s political ground seems to be slipping, he has started dividing Delhi on caste lines, even though he never remembered the Jat community in the past 11 years,” Parvesh Sahib Singh stated, accompanied by BJP spokesperson Ajay Sehrawat and party leader Neetu Dabbas.

Sahib Singh, a former MP, criticised Kejriwal for his approach to rural Delhi, saying the people—especially farmers, Jats, and Gurjars—were outraged by his statements and have now united to vote against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). He further highlighted that the Chief Minister, who once found the Jat community "repulsive," was now suddenly trying to appeal to them as elections approached.

“This is the same Arvind Kejriwal who refused to let the Jats and the people of rural Delhi enter his house. But now, as elections approach, and rural Delhi—including Jats, Gurjars, Yadavs, Tyagis, and Rajputs—unite against him, Kejriwal suddenly remembers the Jats,” he said.

Sahib Singh also questioned Kejriwal’s failure to act on requests from rural farmers. “Rural Delhi farmers had demanded the benefits of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme of Rs 6,000, but Kejriwal failed to provide the list to the central government,” he said. “I wrote to Arvind Kejriwal, requesting a memorial for my father, Sahib Singh Verma, on land owned by the Delhi government, but Kejriwal has not responded.”
