AAP seeks suspension of officers behind stopping “Phool Walon Ki Sair” fest
Delhi L-G has an old habit of lying, says Bharadwaj
In reaction to L-G VK Saxena’s remarks on the “Phool Walon Ki Sair” festival, AAP on Sunday demanded the suspension of officers who took the decision to stop the event.
Taking to X, AAP Delhi unit chief Saurbah Bharadwaj wrote, “We raised the issue of ‘Pool Walon ki Sair’. The BJP Government is stopping the centuries-old heritage of Ganga-Jamuni culture of Delhi.”
The post added, “The L-G has an old habit of lying. We challenge the L-G ‘saab’ to suspend the Secretary and IAS officers who took the decision to stop ‘Phool walon Ki Sair’, this year as well as last year”.
The post said, “We know he will not dare to suspend the officer because it was on his directions that such anti-people and communal orders were passed by officers.”
“Phool Walon ki Sair”, translated as ‘procession of the florists’, is a one-of-the-kind annual celebration conducted and participated by Delhi florists. It is a weeklong celebration, held usually after the monsoon season of Delhi.
