Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Delhi chief, Saurabh Bharadwaj, on Tuesday sharply criticised the BJP-led Delhi Government over the spike in air pollution levels following Diwali, alleging that Chief Minister Rekha Gupta lacked understanding of the issue.
“In the app that I have, the AQI has crossed 600. But what can we expect from a Chief Minister who cannot even pronounce AQI correctly?” Bharadwaj remarked.
He accused the government of running a “propaganda campaign” while continuing to use the same chemical solution to reduce foam in the Yamuna that had been employed by the previous AAP administration.
Bharadwaj also criticised the BJP’s social media narrative around Diwali celebrations, saying, “Every year, Arvind Kejriwal used to celebrate Diwali with grand Ram Leelas. But now, BJP members are claiming on social media that, for the first time since Independence, there is a Hindu government.” — TNS
