New Delhi, February 12

Ahead the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, several workers of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and members of Muslim and Christian communities joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Delhi today.

The event witnessed the presence of Ramveer Singh Bidhuri, the Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly, Aarti Mehra and Yaseer Zilani.

Among those who joined the BJP included prominent AAP figures, including Iqrar Ahmad Idreesi, the Delhi Pradesh President of the Idreesi Society, Haji Samim Idreesi, Professor DK Ghiri and Monika Mighlani, the AAP worker who led campaigns for Raghav Chadha in his initial days.

Bidhuri welcomed the newcomers and stressed on the BJP’s commitment to national development and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s transformative policies. He underscored the collective effort needed to realise Narendra Modi’s ambitious goal of building a prosperous nation by 2047.

Bidhuri differentiated the saffron party from AAP and claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party was free from corruption and corrupt leaders and focused on welfare measures for all citizens.

Aarti Mehra echoed similar sentiments, attributing the BJP’s expanding presence in Delhi to the positive impact of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s policies, despite the alleged misinformation campaign run by AAP.
