ABVP delegation meets Union Ministers, submits memorandum

A delegation from the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), led by National General Secretary Virendra Singh Solanki, submitted a memorandum to the Ministry of Tribal Affairs and the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, advocating for the welfare of marginalised communities.

The ABVP delegation first met Union Minister for Tribal Affairs, Jual Oram, highlighting the need for increased teacher presence in tribal areas, better infrastructure, and the establishment of vocational and technical training centers. They also called for a National Migrant/Overseas Scholarship Program to support tribal students pursuing higher education.

In a separate memorandum to the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) raised concerns regarding the National Fellowship for Other Backward Classes (NFOBC), urging the government to regularize the scholarship.

They also demanded free Braille software and books for visually impaired students and the filling of reserved positions in educational institutions.

Solanki stated, “ABVP is committed to ensuring social harmony and the upliftment of every section of society.” Both ministries assured the delegation of prompt action on their demands.
