All pending works to be completed under Arvind Kejriwal’s guidance: Delhi CM
Chief Minister Atishi on Friday said all pending works in Delhi would be completed under the guidance of Arvind Kejriwal. She also said the people of Delhi would give an answer to the BJP in the upcoming elections by voting for the AAP.
Addressing the special Assembly session, the CM said the blessings of mothers, the support of sisters, and the boundless love of children of Delhi held far greater strength than the “BJP’s ED and CBI”.
“The people of Delhi will respond to the BJP’s conspiracy in the upcoming elections in February by giving all 70 seats to the AAP. Arvind Kejriwal will be back as the CM, and the BJP will be wiped out in Delhi,” she said.
The Delhi CM remarked that since the BJP could not compete with Kejriwal’s work, they tried to tarnish his honesty, falsely accusing him and sending him to jail.
“By putting him behind bars, the BJP stopped pensions for the elderly and widows for six months, cut off funding for the water board, and blocked medicines for hospitals and mohalla clinics. However, now that Kejriwal is out of jail, all halted works will be completed under his leadership,” said Atishi.
Comparing Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia as “Ram” and “Lakshman” of the party, she said, “I would like to tell all AAP MLAs that today’s session and day is a very joyous occasion for us because the Ram and Lakshman of our party, Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, are sitting together in the Assembly.”
Atishi joined in the attack on the BJP of conspiring against Kejriwal and party leaders.
“Despite his mandate, the BJP’s malicious conspiracies and baseless accusations led to his wrongful imprisonment for six months, forcing him to resign from the position that the people entrusted him with,” she added.
She further said it was only after 2015, when the people of Delhi elected Kejriwal as their CM, that a true transformation took place and they began receiving “24x7 electricity, world-class education for their children, and free healthcare facilities in government hospitals”.
The CM reassured the people that Kejriwal had been released from jail, and under his guidance, all pending projects and welfare schemes for the people would resume. The BJP’s conspiracy to tarnish his image and halt the development work in Delhi would not succeed, she said.
Prioritise repair of roads: Ex-CM to Atishi
New Delhi: AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Friday appealed to Chief Minister Atishi to prioritise the repair of Delhi’s roads, describing these to be in a “pathetic” state. The plea came two days after the inspection of roads in the Capital along with CM Atishi. During a special session of the Delhi Legislative Assembly, Kejriwal said, “I have been going out with CM Atishi to inspect the roads of Delhi for the past two days. I remember that the condition of the roads was not so bad before I went to jail.” He blamed the failure to maintain these roads as a result of political manouevres.
