Union Minister and BJP leader Ravneet Singh on Monday urged the people of Punjab campaigning in Delhi for the Aam Aadmi Party to leave the city by 5 pm, claiming that the party has conspired to get them arrested and use the situation for political mileage.

"I request every Punjabi to return back to Punjab by today 5 pm as AAP's leadership is orchestrating a conspiracy to have them arrested first and then use the situation to allege that the Delhi Police is committing atrocities against Punjabis," Bittu said while speaking to the media persons outside Parliament.

The Union Minister claimed that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, on the instructions of AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal, has forcibly brought several mediapersons to Delhi for the coverage of elections after giving them forged identities of news channels.

"They were asked to report from slum areas. When they were caught, it was found that all of them were illegally reporting after changing names. It is these kids from Punjab who are suffering at the end… hence, I request them to leave the city by 5 pm," Bittu said.

The BJP leader further claimed that AAP MLAs, MPs, and Councillors from Punjab have brought thousands of people from their respective constituencies and illegally hidden them in flats and slum areas.

"There are cameras everywhere. FIRs can be registered. I have heard that they (AAP) will themselves inform the police and get you arrested. They will try to project this as an injustice to Punjabis… hence, I urge you with folded hands to leave after 5 pm…," the Minister said.
