All set for India–Argentina polo showdown

The spirit of international sportsmanship and royal tradition came alive at the Army Equestrian Centre, Delhi Cantonment, as KogniVera IT Solutions and the Indian Polo Association (IPA) jointly unveiled the KogniVera International Polo Cup trophy. The launch marked the official introduction of Team India and Team Argentina, setting the stage for a face-off between two of the world’s top polo sides.

The event was attended by dignitaries, polo enthusiasts and media representatives who gathered to witness the unveiling of what promises to be one of the most spectacular contests in the global polo calendar.

Simran Shergill, Shamsheer Ali, Sawai Padmanabh Singh and Siddhant Sharma, a dynamic lineup known for their agility and teamwork, will be representing India. Team Argentina comprises of Juan Augustin Garcia Grossi, Salvador Jauretche, Matias Bautista Espasandin and Nicolas Jorge Corti Maderna. With their experience and flair, both teams promise an intense contest of skill, strategy and horsemanship.

The event highlighted how the fusion of heritage, technology and sportsmanship not only strengthened the global polo circuit but also shined a spotlight on India’s growing prominence in the sport.
