New Delhi, July 17
Following today’s court hearing on the liquor policy scam, Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva raised allegations against CM Arvind Kejriwal. According to him, the submissions by the CBI counsel in the HC have revealed that Kejriwal was not only the mastermind behind the Delhi Government’s liquor scam, but also has a strong connection with Pakistan’s political setup. “After today’s submissions it stands clear that on one hand, Kejriwal is the main mastermind of the liquor policy scam, and on the other hand, there is a strong bond between Kejriwal and Pakistan’s political setup,” Sachdeva said.
The BJP leader pointed to a peculiar instance during the court proceedings. “The way Kejriwal’s counsel Abhishek Manu Singhvi cited the case of former Pakistan PM Imran Khan going to court in Pakistan while pleading for Kejriwal’s bail clearly establishes a close bond between Kejriwal’s politics and Pakistan’s political setup.”
He referred to an event during the recent Lok Sabha elections to bolster his claims. “It is pertinent to mention that during the recent elections, a former Pakistan minister lauded Kejriwal and appealed to Delhi voters on his behalf.”
