Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Atishi on Saturday approved projects for the rehabilitation and strengthening of various roads from Noida to Akshardham in Delhi. This initiative aims to offer residents a pleasant commuting experience and enhance the interconnectivity of different areas, officials said.

The road stretches from NH-24 to Link Road No 1, NH24 to Link Road No 2, Noida Link Road and Noida More Flyover (slip road) will undergo strengthening.

Approving the projects, Atishi said, “The Kejriwal government’s emphasis is on establishing a resilient and secure transportation network following global standards. The sanctioned road-strengthening project across Delhi is a testament to the Delhi Government’s dedication to delivering world-class road infrastructure for the city residents.”

“The strengthening of these roads will positively impact thousands of individuals in the area, alleviating congestion and enhancing interconnectivity from main roads to colonies,” she added.

Atishi said these roads were originally constructed and upgraded long ago, and are used by many office commuters during peak hours, leading to their gradual deterioration.
