Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Atishi on Sunday approved projects for the rehabilitation and strengthening of various roads across Shahadra district. These initiatives are aimed at providing residents with a smoother commuting experience and improving overall interconnectivity between different areas, according to officials.

While endorsing the projects, Atishi remarked, “The Kejriwal government’s focus is on establishing a resilient and secure transportation network that adheres to global standards. The sanctioned road-strengthening projects across Delhi exemplify the Delhi Government’s commitment to delivering world-class road infrastructure for its residents. Strengthening these roads will have a positive impact on thousands of individuals in the area, easing congestion and improving connectivity from main roads to colonies.”

Atishi noted that these roads were originally constructed and upgraded long ago, resulting in their gradual deterioration. The PWD, with the assistance of experts, has conducted a comprehensive assessment of the roads and has been tasked with commencing the upgrading process, an official stated.
