Atishi, party leaders file papers
Delhi Chief Minister Atishi and other AAP leaders filed their nomination papers for the upcoming Assembly elections on Tuesday.
CM Atishi, incumbent MLA from Kalkaji, said: “I have filed my nomination with a resolve to carry forward Arvind Kejriwal’s honest politics. Over the past five years, I have received immense love from the people of Kalkaji, and I am confident of their blessings in this election too.”
Addressing allegations made by Congress leaders, Atishi questioned differential treatment by the L-G’s office, stating: “When Congress leaders file complaints, immediate action is taken, but AAP MLAs often wait for days to get an appointment.”
In Malviya Nagar, senior AAP leader Somnath Bharti led a roadshow before filing his papers. Bharti said, “I consider the entire Malviya Nagar as my family, and my family reciprocates with affection and respect. Over the past 12 years, I haven’t earned money. I’ve earned the trust and love of the people.”
He emphasized his commitment to protecting residents’ homes and fostering development.”
In Shahdara, AAP MP Raghav Chadha led a roadshow supporting Jitender Singh Shunty, popularly known as the ‘Ambulance Man’ of Delhi, who will be contesting from the Shahdara constituency.
“This election is a contest between AAP and the BJP. The Congress holds no relevance in Delhi. Under Arvind Kejriwal’s leadership, Delhi has witnessed unprecedented progress and Jitender Singh Shunty will elevate Shahdara’s development to new heights,” Chaddha said.
