Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), has made a debut in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2026, securing a position in the 801 to 1000 band globally. This places the GGSIPU among the top 1,000 universities worldwide and within the top 28 institutions in India.
In its first appearance in the rankings, the GGSIPU scored between 35.5 and 38.9 overall and performed exceptionally in the Research Quality pillar, ranking 488 globally. The university recorded a Research Quality score of 74.2, well above the global median of 53.0, with a Citation Impact score of 84.5 and a Research Excellence score of 71.8, reflecting strong productivity and influence in research outputs.

The recognition follows GGSIPU’s rise in the QS World University Rankings 2026 and reinforces its position as one of India’s fastest-rising public varsities.
