Youth stabbed to death in park

A 24-year-old man was stabbed to death at a park in Dilshad Garden while he was with his female friend in northeast Delhi. Four people, including two juveniles, have been detained in this connection. The police have recovered a bag that was reportedly robbed from the victim and his companion.

The victim has been identified as Viresh, a resident of Dilshad Garden. He had sustained three stab wounds on the neck, abdomen and chest. Viresh succumbed to his injuries during treatment at GTB Hospital.

During investigation, it emerged that Viresh had gone to the park with Bhawana (33).

She reported that some persons had robbed them before attacking Viresh.

“All four persons, including two children in conflict with law, have been taken into custody. The bag has been recovered, while the stolen mobile phones are yet to be traced,” an officer said. A case of attempt to murder has been registered against the accused.
