A 40-year-old two-wheeler mechanic died after being electrocuted near the Kesar T-Point in West Delhi’s Kirti Nagar on Sunday night, the police said. The deceased has been identified as Pawan Yadav.

According to the police, Yadav, who was passing through the area, slipped on a rain-soaked patch of the road around 9.40 pm. In the process, his hand touched an electric pole. As a result, he received a severe electric shock.

He was rushed to ABG Hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival. The police said further investigation was on into the matter.
