Bizman’s shooter injured in encounter

The main shooter Tekchand arrested in connection with the murder of liquor businessman in Hayatpur village was injured in an encounter with Gurugram police team in Karnal. The miscreant misled the Gurugram police and took them to Karnal to recover a mobile where he fired a shot and then injured in retaliatory firing.

According to the police, after arresting the accused shooter, Gurugram police had taken him on seven days of police remand. During his remand, he revealed about hiding the mobile phone in Karnal which was used by him.

According to the spokesperson of Gurugram police, on Friday night, a police team reached Karnal with the accused to recover his mobile in the Madhuban police station area. It was around 10:30pm, when the police team reached the place mentioned by the accused, the police team asked the accused to take out the mobile phone which he had hidden. The accused took out a pistol from that place and as soon as he took out the pistol, he fired at the police team and one bullet grazed ASI Harish, who escaped narrowly. The accused tried to escape by firing, so the police team also fired in retaliation and one bullet hit the accused’s knee and he got injured. The police team admitted him to the hospital in Karnal for treatment. In this incident, 3 shots were fired by the accused and 2 by the police. An FIR was registered against him at Madhuban police station in Karnal.

“The police team recovered a pistol, three cartridges and 5 empty bullet shells from the spot. On the spotting of the shooter, the police team also recovered a bike from his possession. Tekchand is undergoing treatment at Kalpana Chawla Hospital, Karnal. He will be taken into police custody again after being discharged while a further probe is underway”, said the spokesperson of Gurugram police.
