Strongly criticising former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for "petty politics", Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva said that he had tarnished the dignity of the Chief Minister's office and dragged Chief Minister Atishi into a controversy. The remarks came after an administrative note from Delhi’s Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of Transport, Prashant Goyal, clarified that no investigation was going on against Atishi in the Transport Department, contradicting earlier claims made by Kejriwal.

No investigation on: Addl CS

The remarks came after an administrative note from Delhi’s Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of Transport clarified that no investigation was going on against Atishi in the Transport Department contradicting Kejriwal’s apprehensions that Atishi would face arrest soon in the women's free bus ride scheme

“It is unfortunate that Arvind Kejriwal first tarnished the dignity of the Chief Minister’s position for his petty politics and is now embroiling Atishi in controversial issues,” Sachdeva said in a statement.

Delhi Transport Commissioner Prashant Goyal has refuted claims made by AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal regarding an impending inquiry into Chief Minister Atishi's role in the women's free bus ride scheme. In a letter to CM Atishi, dated December 26, Goyal categorically stated that no such investigation was underway.

Goyal's letter clarified the Transport Department has not initiated any inquiry, despite Kejriwal's assertions during a press conference. He further noted that no communication had been received from the Vigilance Department on the issue.

Sachdeva accused Kejriwal of misleading his colleagues, claiming that the former Chief Minister has a history of intimidating his team and spreading confusion. “For quite some time, we have been asserting that former CM Arvind Kejriwal keeps his colleagues intimidated and politically misled. He tried to spread similar confusion regarding the investigation and possible arrest of Chief Minister Atishi” he said.

The BJP president went on to commend the Transport Department’s clarification, which he said exposed Kejriwal's conspiracy. “The officer’s note has now exposed the false claims of Arvind Kejriwal,” Sachdeva stated.
