BJP: Congress supporting those against Sanatan Dharma
The Delhi BJP on Friday criticised the Congress for inducting former AAP minister Rajendra Pal Gautam, accusing the party of supporting individuals opposed to Sanatan Dharma. Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva questioned the Congress’ decision to include Gautam, labelling him a controversial figure due to his outspoken criticism of Hindu beliefs.
“By including Gautam in the party, the Congress has confirmed that it is a sanctuary for opponents of Sanatan Dharma,” said Sachdeva. He added that only the Congress leadership, particularly Rahul Gandhi, could have brought in someone like Gautam, who he described as “a known anti-Sanatan Dharm activist”.
Sachdeva claimed that Gautam had only managed to retain his seat in the 2020 Delhi Assembly elections because of the AAP government’s popular free electricity and water schemes. He labelled Gautam as a “political liability” for AAP due to his opposition to Sanatan Dharma, suggesting this led to his defection to the Congress.
