Taking a dig at AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal, who demanded the resignation of the central government over an attack on Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan, the BJP on Sunday said the former Delhi chief minister has been mum since learning that the attacker was a Bangladeshi infiltrator.

Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva pointed out Kejriwal’s initial outrage over the incident and questioned his lack of condemnation once the identity of the attacker was disclosed.

“Arvind Kejriwal sought sympathy from the media, claiming that Saif Ali Khan is a national treasure and calling the attack shameful. But now that it is confirmed that the attacker is a Bangladeshi, Kejriwal has gone silent. Why this change?” asked Sachdeva.

“From the very beginning, the BJP has been saying that Rohingyas and Bangladeshis pose a security threat, not just to Delhi but to the entire country. Despite this, Arvind Kejriwal continues to provide them shelter and sustenance in the capital,” he added.

Sachdeva further accused the AAP of enabling illegal activities that support such individuals. “AAP leaders, including the MLA from Okhla, are providing financial aid of Rs 10,000 to illegal Bangladeshis. They also facilitate free electricity and water for them, besides helping them obtain illegal Aadhaar cards and fake voter IDs,” he claimed.

Sachdeva also demanded that Kejriwal address the issue transparently. “The Delhi CM must condemn the actions of this Bangladeshi attacker and disclose any connections the individual might have with other groups or networks. This is a matter of national security,” he stated.

He urged the Delhi Government to reassess its policies regarding illegal immigrants and take immediate measures to protect the city and its citizens.
