Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva and New Delhi MP Bansuri Swaraj expressed strong support for the Modi Government’s decision to form the 8th Pay Commission, calling it a timely and much-needed move for government employees across the country.
At a press conference held on Saturday, Virendra Sachdeva praised the contribution of government employees, stating that they play a key role in delivering Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s policies and schemes to the public.
“Government employees have become instrumental in implementing the policies of the Modi Government, making them deserving of appreciation,” Sachdeva said.
MP Bansuri Swaraj highlighted the positive reception the announcement of the 8th Pay Commission had received, noting that government employees from New Delhi had expressed their gratitude over the phone since the decision was made public.
“From Kali Bari to Kidwai Nagar, government employees are satisfied and happy that the Modi Government has paid timely attention to their concerns,” Swaraj said.
Swaraj further emphasised that the establishment of the Pay Commission provides a sense of financial security for government employees, while also creating optimism among private sector workers who hope for potential improvements in wages and policies.
“This decision will benefit not only employees but also pensioners,” she said.
In her remarks, Swaraj pointed out that the Pay Commission’s recommendations would not only have a direct impact on government employees but could also lead to positive changes in the private sector, particularly in terms of adjustments to minimum wages.
