Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, BJP MP from South Delhi, has welcomed the order from the Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor to investigate the AAP’s Mahila Samman and Sanjivani schemes.

Bidhuri accused the AAP government of engaging in a “politics of lies, deception and fraud” over these non-existent schemes and urged the party to stop misleading the public.

“If they had good intentions, they would have properly registered these schemes. Instead, AAP workers went door to door to register women illegally for these non-existent schemes,” Bidhuri said. “As a result, the Delhi government departments were forced to issue a public notice warning the public that these schemes are fake,” he said.

The BJP MP said the Mahila Samman Yojana, promising Rs 2,100 per month to eligible women, and the Sanjivani Yojana, had not been officially notified.

“Women are being told that they will receive financial assistance under the Mahila Samman Yojana. In reality, no such scheme is in existence. Similarly, the Health Department has confirmed that Sanjivani Yojana is completely fake,” he said.

Bidhuri also raised concern over the potential influx of black money from neighboring states, particularly Punjab, ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections.

“There are strong indications that illegal cash worth crores could be brought into Delhi for the upcoming elections. So, the Lieutenant Governor has asked the Delhi Police to stay vigilant,” he said.

Recalling similar instances from other states, Bidhuri pointed to the recovery of illegal money from AAP leaders during the Gujarat elections. “During the Gujarat elections, crores of rupees were recovered from AAP leaders,” Bidhuri said.

The BJP MP’s remarks follow the Lieutenant Governor’s directive to the Delhi Police to investigate the AAP-led government’s allegedly fraudulent schemes, signalling further scrutiny into the party’s practices ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections.
