A day after Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta was attacked during a public hearing, all seven BJP Members of Parliament (MPs) from the national capital visited her residence on Thursday to inquire about her health and express solidarity.

The MPs said the Chief Minister was in good health, continued to discharge her duties without interruption, and remained undeterred by the incident.

Chandni Chowk MP Praveen Khandelwal said Gupta was “completely fine” and working with full dedication. “I, along with all my fellow MPs from Delhi, met our popular Chief Minister Rekha Gupta today to check on her well-being. She is in good health and is wholeheartedly continuing her work for the people, as always,” he said.

New Delhi MP Bansuri Swaraj asserted that her morale remained unshaken. “This cowardly and condemnable attack has not affected her work style in the slightest. Her spirit is completely intact,” Swaraj said.

Northwest Delhi MP Yogender Chandolia underlined the need for a security review of such events. “Yesterday’s incident was condemnable. The person who came there attempted an attack. We all went together to show that the whole of Delhi stands united — MLAs, Cabinet members and everyone,” he said.

West Delhi MP Kamaljeet Sehrawat said Gupta’s confidence and connect with people remained firm. “It is a wrong assumption for anyone to think that such an incident could shake her confidence or weaken her connect with the people. The Chief Minister remains fully dedicated to the public and continues her work as before,” she said.

North East Delhi MP Manoj Tiwari also emphasised that Gupta’s morale was unaffected. “Public hearings will continue as usual. She will meet people in the next sitting and resume work from tomorrow. Even today, after meeting people, she has been working. Yes, she was injured, but she is in good health,” he said.

The BJP MPs reiterated that the party and its leadership stand firmly behind the Chief Minister and that the attack would neither deter her nor disrupt the government’s public outreach initiatives.
