New Delhi: Delhi University’s Ram Lal Anand College received a bomb threat on Thursday, prompting a swift response from police officials. However, after conducting thorough checks, the authorities said nothing suspicious was found. A bomb threat was conveyed via WhatsApp to a staff member around 9.34 am. Rohit Meena, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Southwest district, said, “The police along with ambulance, bomb disposal squad and bomb detection team reached the college, and students were evacuated.” A search operation was conducted and the premises was thoroughly checked. Gym trainer stabbed to death
New Delhi: A 29-year-old gym trainer was stabbed 15 times in his face and chest at his home early Thursday, hours before he was supposed to get married. The deceased, identified as Gaurav Singhal, was a resident of Devli Extension. The police said Singhal was rushed to a hospital by his family, but was declared brought dead. The body has been shifted to AIIMS mortuary for postmortem. TNS
Metro Services on Yellow Line hit
New Delhi: The Delhi Metro train services on Yellow Line (Millennium City Centre Gurugram to Samaypur Badli) were regulated on Thursday owing to a track circuit drop (signalling) issue between Vishwavidyalaya and Kashmere Gate station. Anuj Dayal, Principal Executive Director, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation said, “Due to this, trains are running at restricted speed in this small section resulting into bunching of trains. Normal train services are available on rest of the sections of Yellow Line.”
