New Delhi, August 2
A bomb threat at Summer Fields School in South Delhi’s Greater Kailash area prompted an emergency response on Friday morning. The school had received an email around midnight, claiming that a bomb had been planted on the premises.
Following standard operating procedures, the school management swiftly evacuated the students and alerted the authorities. “We received an email late at night, which was checked early this morning,” said Shalini Agarwal, Principal of Summer Fields School.

“As per the SOPs, we evacuated the students within 10 minutes of receiving the email. We informed the police and district administration, and are thankful to the police as they came immediately.”
Law-enforcement agencies, including a bomb detection team and a dog squad, were quickly dispatched to the scene to conduct a thorough search of the premises. After several hours of investigation, the threat was declared a hoax.
“There was absolutely no panic amongst the parents,” Agarwal added. Despite the scare, the situation was handled efficiently. The police are now investigating the source of the hoax email.
