New Delhi: Two motorcyclists allegedly opened fire at a sweet meat shop — Singla Sweets — in Tilak Nagar in West Delhi on Friday night. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as the bullets struck the front glass of the shop. The incident came to light around 11 pm while the local police were patrolling the main market area. Following the attack, the police registered a case and multiple teams were formed to gather information and trace the route taken by the assailants. The police recovered four empty bullet shells from the site, and CCTV footage from the area is currently being reviewed to identify the culprits.

22-year-old shot dead

Faridabad: Aryan Mishra (22) was killed in a shooting incident in the NIT zone on Friday night. According to the complaint, the car in which Mishra and his friends were travelling was intercepted by another vehicle. When Mishra’s car did not stop, the youths in the following car opened fire. Mishra was hit by a bullet and was rushed to a private hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The victim’s father suspects that his son’s death may have been the result of a conspiracy. The police have registered a case, but no arrest has been made so far.

Youth injured in firing incident

New Delhi: An 18-year-old was injured in a shooting incident in Paschim Vihar East on Saturday, following an altercation between two parties near the BG 6 area. According to an official, a PCR call was received at 4.53 pm reporting gunfire in the vicinity. “Initial inquiries suggest that the 18-year-old bystander was injured by a bullet ricochet during an altercation that began over water spilled by a minor boy,” the official stated. The situation escalated quickly, involving the local Residents’ Welfare Association. “It appears that the bullet was discharged during the ensuing commotion,” he added.
