4,583 motorists challaned

New Delhi: The Delhi Traffic Police prosecuted 4,583 motorists for violations on New Year’s Eve, officials said on Wednesday. Of these, 558 motorists faced action for drunken driving, a marked increase from 416 in 2023 and 318 in 2022. Other violations included dangerous driving (35 cases), wrong-side driving (205 cases), triple riding (35 cases) and riding without helmets (648 cases). White tiger cub dies of ‘shock’

New Delhi: A nine-month-old female white tiger, which was undergoing treatment, died at Delhi Zoo due to ‘traumatic shock’ and ‘acute pneumonia’, officials said on Wednesday. The cub, which was in hospital since September, died four days ago, zoo director Sanjeev Kumar said. pti
