A moving bus suddenly caught fire in Gurugram on Thursday. The driver and conductor were able to escape in time.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the flame, but the bus was completely gutted. The cause of the fire has not been ascertained yet but it is believed to have been caused due to a short circuit. The police are investigating the matter.

According to the police, the incident took place in the Sector 59 area, this morning, when the bus was leaving a parking lot to ferry the employees of a private company. Suddenly, the bus caught fire and panic ensued. Within moments, the entire bus was engulfed in flames.

Soon, police and fire brigade teams reached the spot. The police said that the bus was registered in the name of Nitin Rathi of Bahadurgarh.
