Gurugram: The Gurugram Bus Depot has initiated a roadways bus service to Ayodhya starting February 1. The bus is scheduled to depart from the Gurugram bus stand at 4 am daily, with a fixed fare of Rs 990. Rajbir Singh, Chief Inspector of Gurugram Bus Depot, said the bus service has commenced in anticipation of an increased number of passengers following the inauguration of the Ram Temple. The bus will traverse from Gurugram to Ayodhya through Sohna, Palwal, Hodal, Kosi, Mathura, Agra and Lucknow, constituting a journey lasting approximately 15 hours. TNS

20K crates gutted in vegGiE market

Gurugram: A massive fire broke out in seven wholesale shops of vegetables and fruits in the Khandsa vegetable market on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday in which more than 20,000 crates of tomatoes, potatoes, onions and other vegetables were gutted, causing huge loss to the traders. Six fire tenders from the Sector 37 and other fire stations reached the spot and brought the blaze under control. TNS

CUET PG deadline extended to feb 7

New Delhi: The UGC has extended the registration deadline for CUET PG 2024 to February 7, responding to requests from candidates and stakeholders. Initially set for January 31, the extension allows more time for applications. The deadline for successful fee transactions and correction in particulars has also been revised to February 8 and 11, respectively. TNS

Illegal parking in Chandni Chowk

New Delhi: Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor has expressed concern over the escalating issue of illegal parking around Town Hall and Hardayal Library in Chandni Chowk.
