Campus notes: IP varsity to offer PhD in Sports Injury
New Delhi: Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (IP University) in New Delhi is set to commence PhD in sports injury from the academic session 2024-25. The programme will be hosted at the Sports Injury Centre of Vardhman Mahavir Medical College and will initially offer three seats. Candidates with an MS degree in Orthopaedics or MA in Sports Injury can apply till March 31. Similar to other PhD programmes, the annual fees would be Rs 57,000. “IP University would be the first Delhi institute to offer the doctoral programme in sports injury. It reflects growing demand for sport-related courses, amid India’s burgeoning sports culture,” says Vice-Chancellor Mahesh Verma.
Atma Ram College to host tech fest
Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma (ARSD) College is set to host a vibrant Tech Fest on February 28 and 29. Various competitions such as Code Quest for coding enthusiasts, tech debates in Tech-Tussle, Checkmate chess tournament, a film-making contest: Reel Rush Rumble, gaming challenge in Death Match Depot, HackSphere with a focus on collaborative problem-solving and LOL-Warzone to showcase humorous creativity would be organised on the occasion. Interested candidates can register till February 26.
