Three people were injured in a road accident on NH-9 in Pandav Nagar, East Delhi, after a car allegedly driving on the wrong side collided with a two-wheeler, triggering a chain reaction that caused a Tempo Traveller to overturn.
The injured were identified as Nathu Ram (52) of Mandawali, Dropadi (72) of Patparganj — both passengers in the Tempo Traveller — and Prapti Gupta (29) of Noida Extension, who was riding the scooty.
By the time the police arrived, the injured had already been taken to nearby hospitals, an official said.
The driver of the offending vehicle, identified as Mohammad Naushad (28) of Turkman Gate, and his associate Kashim (23) of Chandni Mahal, were found at the scene and taken to the police station for questioning.
