Gurugram: For the first time in the country, a ‘car recycling’ event was organised to educate children about critical issues of environmental conservation and curbing air pollution. Through interactive and engaging activities, AKK Car Recycling Festival’s objective was to educate the students about the importance of car recycling and how it can contribute to environmental preservation. By taking part in workshops and getting hands-on experiences, students from RPS Public School, Dharuhera, Bhiwadi, were taught the value of sustainable practices while having fun and learning. During the festival, the students learned how they can contribute to a cleaner and healthier planet by reducing air pollution and promoting recycling activities.

Modern School girl wins accolades

New Delhi: Anandini Suri, a Class 11 student at Modern School, Vasant Vihar, has won the Junior Astitva Samman 2024 for her innovative project, “Artificial Intelligence vs Real World Hunger: A New Approach to Solving Mankind’s Oldest Problem.” Anandini’s utilisation of artificial intelligence to combat hunger has earned recognition from the UN World Food Programme. Anandini emphasised raising awareness about food waste and the need for sustainable practices in her project report, stressing on the importance of eradicating food waste to end hunger in the world.
