The Gurugram police have arrested a Chinese citizen who had been living illegally at Khandsa village without a valid passport or visa. A case has been registered against the accused at Sector 37 Police Station under the relevant sections, including the Foreigners Act. The police have also informed the Ministry of Home Affairs about the arrest.
According to the police, the accused has been identified as 28-year-old Lynn Jensen, a resident of Guangdong, China. Since March 2025, he had been living in a rented room at Khandsa village and was reportedly employed by a company in Manesar.
A spokesperson for Gurugram police said Sector 37 Police Station had received information from an informer that a foreign national was residing in a house at Khandsa village. Acting promptly on the tip-off, a police team visited the residence of a man named Nitin, where they found the Chinese citizen.
When asked to produce documents related to his stay in India, the Chinese national failed to present any valid papers. He was subsequently arrested as per legal procedures.
“During police interrogation, it was found that the foreign national had arrived in India on a business visa in the year 2019. He did not return to China after his visa expired in 2023. From 2023 to March 2025, he lived in rented accommodation in the Chattarpur area of Delhi. In March 2025, he moved to Khandsa village,” said the spokesperson for police.
